It's my laundry day. I've been thinking about laundry. I've been talking about laundry.
This question came to mind: Do you put your hubby's laundry away?
I'd love to hear some discussion about this, but if you don't want to contribute, at least vote in my poll!!

This could create some very interesting discussion. :)
You should ALWAYS put your husband's laundry away. You should also iron his work shirts if you have time.

Yes, I put away his, and I put away my own. However, my 3yo, 6yo, and 9yo all are required to put away their own laundry and help sort and fold laundry. My 9yo will soon be doing her own laundry, too (she just doesn't know it yet!). :)
Anonymous....(ahem...Josh)....you're going to have to put your laundry away pretty soon, too, if you don't watch it! :)
And Amy....yes, my kids put their own laundry away too!! I can't wait until Claire is old enough to start doing her own laundry! :) Love it.
Love the anonymous comment :)
Hmmm, we're kind of half and half...not sure how to vote on your poll.
I fold the laundry and sometimes put it on our bed for him to put away (I seem to put it in the wrong drawers) or sometimes I feel like being nice and put them away for him. Depends on the week, I guess :)
I sort, wash, dry, fold and either leave on top of the dryer or stack on the bed so he gets to put his laundry away. I don't think that's unreasonable and apparently neither does he. For the most part, it works well. The only thing he doesn't like is when I throw away socks, t-shirts and underwear that have holes in them. I have to hide them in the garbage. :)
I wondered who that first anonymous comment was from. Figures it was Josh! Ha! I am surprised it also didn't include..."put a bow in your hair, wash the children, and rub his feet when he arrives home from work." Oh...husbands!!
Great post Jackie. Joni and I are always discussing subjects like these. My husband's laundry falls into all the categories: sometimes I put it away, sometimes he puts it away and sometimes it doesn't get put away. I guess I can't vote in your poll. :( Just a thought--now with teenagers in the house I hear a lot--why do I if dad doesn't. Kids!! Gotta love them? Love the post!! julie :)
I do everything! I sort, wash, fold AND IRON HIS SHIRTS!! :) I guess I consider it part of my job description. I am working with my girls on putting their laundry away - which I can't wait until they can do more on their own!
My husband puts his own laundry away...well...he let's it sit in a pile in our room and then irons it when he wants to wear it :)
Andy actually does all the laundry in our house! He likes that it is something he can do and he knows when its done. He doesnt have an eye for all the other things I like to clean...so it makes him feel like he is contributing..his so silly....but it is nice!! heheh :) ...But when I do the laundry from time to time he likes to put his own away so he knows where it is!
No, I don't put his laundry away, but he sometimes puts mine away! I have, though, once stuffed all his clothes that were laying about into a black garbage bag and set it aside for him to deal with when he considered it important enough. He got the point. (I recall my mother making the same point but in a more extreme fashion: she threw all the clothes out the upstairs window. And they love each other very, very much.)
