bikini.zucchini

The neighbors had monster zucchinis for sale last weekend for a quarter each.  Loved it.  We bought two.  Getting a three year old to say "zucchini" is simply amusing.

A: Can we eat the bikini?
Me: It's "zucchini" not "bikini". 
A: When we going to eat the bikini?
Me: ZOO-KEY-NEE.  Can you say that?
A: Yes...when we going to eat the zoobikini?

You just don't correct that kind of word.

Today, I put a pair of jeans on Amelia that I thought were going to be too long.  They ended up being almost too short.  I commented, "When did you get so tall?"  Her response?  "At the park." 

This is quite possibly true.

television {she's glued to it if it's on...thankfully not often!}

chewing on her fingers

spitting up on the couch

peeing on herself in the bathtub {every.single.time}

daddy's beard

oh...and spitting up

not so fond of:

getting in her car seat

sleeping without something covering her face

switching sides while nursing

anything that hasn't been marked by her spit up

We love, love, love this baby.  Just sayin'.

a.cuddle.in.the.huddle

It's football season!! As we're watching a game the other day, Meredith asks, "Dad, what do football players do when they cuddle together?"

{chuckle}

"Well, they talk about which play they're going to run...and it's a huddle, not a cuddle."

***Picture courtesy of the "wedding" that we hosted in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago. It was complete with guests {stuffed animals and Olivia}, a flower girl {Amelia}, a bride {Claire}, a groom {stuffed moose}, and maid of honor {Meredith}. I served as the musician {Mary had a Little Lamb on the recorder}, photographer, and officiant. A lovely time was had by all.
